On March 25, the broadcast aboard the Astral Express will sound on time.

In the first half of Version 4.1, the man hailed as the "Path of Immortality"—Ashveil—will arrive in the wish banner. To be honest, when I first encountered him in the story, I never expected this Lightning-element The Hunt character would become my "Stellar Jade devourer" for the next two full weeks.

Ashveil’s role is straightforward: a Lightning-element The Hunt damage dealer, with Follow-up Attacks as his core output. Simple does not mean brainless, though.

His Technique inflicts a status called Lure on all enemies. Its effect is direct: it reduces the DEF of all enemies, and whenever an ally attacks an enemy afflicted with Lure, Ashveil immediately launches a Follow-up Attack. In short, he is not a solo damage dealer—he is a main DPS that relies on the entire team to "fuel" his attacks. The more your team fights, the more frequently he follows up.

His Ultimate is even more intriguing. It consumes stacked Gluttony to unleash multi-hit Follow-up Attacks. The best part? If he defeats the current target, damage automatically transfers to the next enemy—meaning this The Hunt character gains solid wave-clear capability against groups.

Path of Immortality, fight to the last breath. The name suits him perfectly.

To be honest, the worst part of wishing isn’t losing the 50/50—it’s pulling the character but being unable to build them.

I went through all the material lists and started farming two weeks in advance. If you plan to max him out on the day you pull him, check if you have 8 Trailblaze Crests in your inventory now. Of course, the bigger headache than materials is always the wish resources themselves.

Several friends of mine swore to save tickets before every version, only to run out of Stellar Jade when the banner launched. Later, they got smart and topped up in advance via COCODP to avoid last-minute chaos. I tried it too—top-ups go through instantly, and the price is far better than official top-ups. The saved money can even buy extra Stamina to farm materials.

In the official showcase, Ashveil’s team is Sunday + Tribbie + Dan Heng Permansor Teng. The synergy is clear: Tribbie provides damage bonus, Sunday advances action and speeds up the team, Dan Heng Permansor Teng handles sustain and support, and Ashveil triggers Follow-up Attacks nonstop to form a steady damage loop.

I’m definitely wishing for Ashveil. Not for any other reason than the name "Path of Immortality" and his resolute aura in the story—characters who "chase you down to the end" always get my top priority.

But whether you wish for him or not, one thing is certain: preparation beats impulse every time.

If you find yourself just a little short on Stellar Jade when the banner goes live, don’t panic—COCODP has you covered anytime. I topped up once on the final day of the banner last time, and it processed faster than I expected. I ended up getting him on the very last 10-wish.
